Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I absolutely love all sorts of music (specifically K-pop), travel, and writing about anything I spontaneously become interested in. I hope you love it here as much as I do!

My June 2025 Beauty and Health Empties and Reviews

My June 2025 Beauty and Health Empties and Reviews

In 2025, I set out on a mission to love my morning and night routine. When I took a look at my bathroom drawers, my piles of makeup, and my vanity, I knew there were products I loved in there, but all I could see was junk. I wanted to enjoy my time while putting on my makeup and while taking it off. Between all the items that were given to me and all of the ones I bought mindlessly, I was in a haze where I didn’t know what I loved and what I put up with.

To put a stop to haphazard buying and begin purposeful purchases, I began reviewing every “empty” I had. To me, June seems like a month where I learned what didn’t work more than what did. But that’s okay, it sounds like money and time saved with more products to love!

PanOxyl PM Overnight Spot Patches

Review: I was anti-pimple patch for a long time. It felt like one of those things that just made people with acne feel worse because it’s not like I can cover my whole face? But the thing is, they’re not for people with acne. They’re for people with a few pimples every now and then. Once I cleared my skin my way and became someone who has the occasional pimple, I (an avid PanOxyl user) bought these because they aren’t for fun with a cute design. They looked like they were for people who were over having pimples and wanted a solution.

For me, these do offer a solution. They work incredibly well, and about ten minutes after application, they blend so smoothly into the skin that it’s hard for me to find where I put them sometimes. They are affordable, functional, and I love them. Now that I’ve learned my skin’s habits and wants, I’ve also learned, these are incredible.

Repurchase: Yes.

SkinSmart Facial Cleanser for Acne

Review: I kept hearing about this product on TikTok as an alternative to the Tower 28 spray. As I am someone who would never spend over $20 on a spray that small, I had no idea what the Tower 28 spray was. Though I also heard it clears your acne, so I was intrigued. When I heard there was a cheaper, bigger bottle of the same stuff, I bought it.

I will say this left my face feeling very refreshed, but as someone who doesn’t have bacterial acne on my face, it didn’t do much for me. If you are someone who touches your face a lot and doesn’t have time (or want) to keep rewashing your face throughout the day, I think you should give it a try! When I bought it, it was about $18, so I would say it was affordable. You can also buy a way larger bottle for a good price and continuously refill the spray bottle as well.

Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner

Review: I bought this, and then it went very viral for being an incredible toner. I was very underwhelmed personally. I think a toner should be moisturizing, kill any remaining bacteria, and leave the skin feeling plump. For me, this felt like I was splashing water on my face. Since it is marketed as a soothing toner as well, I assumed it would help with any texture my skin has as well, but it didn’t. I don’t know what everyone was on about.

Repurchase: No.

MEDIHEAL Tea Tree Trouble Pad

Review: I bought these since I was having flare-ups on my cheeks, and I wanted something to help calm my skin. I would set them on my face, let the product soak in, and then remove them. I also occasionally used them around my face as more of a wipe to test if I could use these as a toner instead of a purely liquid toner as well. Though they were very moisturizing on my skin, I saw no difference, and I’d rather pay less for an everyday toner.

Carol’s Daughter Goddess Strength Fortifying Conditioner With Castor Oil

Review: I purchased the shampoo, conditioner, and everyday hair oil at the same time, and I loved the scent. It would stay on my hair for maybe a full day, and even the smell of it in the shower brightened my mood. I was hoping this shampoo and conditioner combination would revive the curl in my hair more. Unfortunately, I found no anti-frizz, curl-enhancing qualities about it. Though I would be interested to hear how it works on other hair types. By the end of the bottle, I didn’t feel my hair was stronger either. I am envious if this conditioner works well for your hair because the smell truly is amazing.

Repurchase: Sadly, no.

Golab Beauty Strengthening Scalp Massage Oil

Review: I followed the Golab Beauty TikTok for so long and finally gave in to buying this oil. I loved the way the product added to my hair routine, and I really would be interested in using this long-term to see the results it gives me. I’ve heard fantastic things about this oil, so I do think that it is worth the money, and when I want to invest a lot in the strength of my hair, I may come back to this product. However, when I finished my bottle, I found another hair oil that I wanted to test out. It was for this reason that I have not repurchased yet. The other oil is more affordable and comes in a larger amount. If that one doesn’t work over time, I will repurchase this hair oil.

Repurchase: Yes, if I have the funds and the other one doesn’t work.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil

Review: It took me so long to use this product, and by the end of it, it was hard, and I would try to use it, but no pigment or product would go on my eye. When I tried the sample on my hand at Sephora again, it did glide nicely, but I’m unsure if mine got old and dried out or if it stops being easy to glide rather quickly. Either way, this product is also over $20, and paying that for a pencil eyeliner is just not something I want to do.

Equate Pure Health Toothbrush with Tongue & Cheek Cleaner, Medium Bristles

Review: I don’t think I will ever use a medium bristle toothbrush again. This toothbrush worked fine, though I believe that because of its shape, it was harder to clean the farthest back molars. Overall, it was the medium bristles that put me off. My gums could not take it. Maybe I have a sensitive mouth or something, I’m not sure, but my gums were so irritated and were bleeding after multiple uses. A toothbrush might be a weird thing to review, but I believe the people deserve to know this information! I will be going with soft bristles for the next one.

Bath & Body Works Aroma Calming Skies Moisturizing Body Lotion

Review: I loved this scent. I used it all throughout winter, and it was the perfect scent for the season. Love love love. There was just enough peppermint and just enough lavender. It was fantastic during the day, at night, as a hand lotion, as a full body lotion, everything. Unfortunately, then I went in to get another one and… GONE. The employee said it was a temporary scent, and I had thought they were adding to their Aroma collection. I was heartbroken. I repurchased the Lavender and Vanilla one instead, but if they bring this back, I will grab a bottle.

Repurchase: Yes.

Necessaire The Deodorant Gel Eucalyptus

Review: My sister gave me this, and I saw people online saying that it worked for them, and they were so happy to be using this instead of a stick deodorant with chemicals. I ended up only using this at night because it 100% did not work for me during the day. I do like to work out, and I sweat a lot when I run or go to the gym, so maybe this isn’t for people with the same activity level as me. As someone who has a fear of smelling bad, though, even while sitting down all day, I got nervous that it wasn’t working. When I would sweat, I couldn’t smell the eucalyptus either; I could only smell that salty sweat smell. That is not what I wanted either. I will stick to the stick.

Repurchase: No.

Old Spice Wolfthorn Antiperspirant / Deodorant

Review: This is the Old Spice scent that I used to use, and I liked it, but I think it has slowly stopped working. I no longer smell the scent when I sweat, and though I don’t smell body odor either, I like a deodorant that I can smell. I also think I am done buying men’s products. At the end of the day, I’d rather buy something for women and not have anything in common with men.
